You will find an uneven coastline, protected by ancient castles and overwhelmed by a unique flora. Enjoy open-air bus drives along the coast and visit the fishing villages of Lerici and Portovenere. Lerici is located on the east side of the Gulf of Poets, opposite to Portovenere. It is a very pretty seaside town with a beautiful promenade, a harbour with fishing and sailing boats, a large piazza with several bars and restaurants, tiny alleyways in the old town and an imposing castle. For centuries, this beautiful area has inspired international and Italian artists.

Cruise between the two villages along the gulf of poets with spectacular views of the island of Palmaria and Tino. When you arrive to Portovenere, your guide will walk you through the historical center, admiring medieval houses and small shops, you will also taste the local fanmous pasta with pesto on a street food style. At the end of this carruggio, you will see the Church of San Pietro; from here, you can enjoy an amazing view of the sea and the rocky coastline.

Byron’s Cave can be found here as well; this is where the famous poet used to swim. Return to the ship by open-air bus along a panoramic coastal drive.
